Why Join My Medical Choice – Part 1
In this short series of video presentations, we go over the main benefits of joining My Medical Choice and explain how things like the Safe Blood system works.
The videos explain how you can build a barrier against the current assault on our right to bodily autonomy and informed consent by using legal documents, such as an Advance Decision Notice/Living Will and Lasting Power of Attorney. There’s also information on how you can ensure medical staff are notified of your directives for healthcare if you are unable to communicate due to a serious accident or illness, and also how to handle pre-operative appointments for surgery where blood transfusion is a possibility.
The videos also explain why it’s a good idea to join My Medical Choice sooner rather than later in order to set up your legal healthcare protection system well before it’s needed. We hope you find the information helpful.
ADN/Living Will = a document instructing physicians, relatives, or others to refrain from the use of extraordinary measures, such as life-support equipment, to prolong one’s life in the event of a terminal illness.

My Medical Choice is all about your Medical Autonomy in healthcare and making sure the emergency team treating you follows your specific wishes. When used correctly, it is a powerful system that can notify medical teams about allergies, procedures etc., right down to more personalised decisions such as people concerned about mRNA in blood, and/or, wanting a solution to vaccinated blood (as listed in the examples in some articles).
My Medical Choice is not here to judge your decision, it is about empowering people to have control over their own healthcare.
